About the Job

The Multimedia Content Producer will serve as a content production professional within Gopher Digital Productions (GDP), the multimedia arm of Minnesota Athletics.The position, as part of the GDP Team, will work primarily with Men's Basketball, Football and other programs as assigned to create video and motion graphics projects for Gopher Athletics.Position Responsibilities and Duties:

50% Contribute as an individual creative

Collect video and audio footage using cinema and DSLR video cameras at Minnesota Athletics events, practices or at staged shoots (e.g. interviews or similar setting).Production of creative multimedia content for social media, in-venue, broadcast and other digital platforms using non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.Motion graphics content creation from conception through completion using Adobe After Effects or similar software.Video storytelling and crafting a compelling narrative through multimedia.

40% Work as a Member of the GDP Team

Work with supervisor to bring in projects from numerous internal and external stakeholders.Participate in new content development meetings and brainstorming sessions which include idea generation, research review of best practices and industry concepts to help reach organizational goals.Contribute to oversight, supervision and training of student production employees.Support departmental efforts to maintain physical and digital assets.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

BA/BS degree in a relevant field (or a combination of related education and work experience to equal at least four years)Extensive knowledge and experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or similar non-linear editing softwareWorking knowledge of Adobe After Effects and PhotoshopCinematography experience, including basic knowledge of common DSLR cameras & lensesWillingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays (dependant upon event schedule)Ability to travel (this positions will travel to many road events, notably Gopher Men's Basketball games)Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a collegiate or professional sports environment in a similar capacityStarting Salary:

$49,000 - $51,000 + overtime. Position is paid hourly and is eligible to earn overtime and holiday pay.Benefits
