In this vital role you will be a part of a product team of data scientists, business analysts, software engineers and others working together to develop a visionary new capability for****. You will work closely with the product owner and consumers to understand user needs, prototype and evaluate design options, recommend improvements and help prioritize features based on user engagement. The team will rely on your leadership to ensure the user’s voice is a driving force in building and advancing this capability.

Key Responsibilities IncludePartner with the overall product owner and other team members to conceptualize and evolve the product visionFacilitate design thinking and design sprint workshopsPlan and conduct user research to develop and maintain personas, experience maps, or other artifacts that reflect research insightsEstablish information architecture and content strategy for the capabilityConduct comparative design analysis and/or heuristic evaluations, and develop associated findings and recommendationsBuild, review, refine, and deliver design artifacts such as wireframes or prototypes to illustrate product vision, concepts, and/or design optionsDraft usability review plans which outline research goals, tasks, and facilitator questions to be covered during usability review sessionsFacilitate one-on-one usability review sessions, document and analyze key insights and observations, and produce findings and recommendationsGuide the product team in how it considers trade-offs and options regarding design and feature choices for better adoption and experienceEstablish relevant UX measures as part of a broader set of key performance indicatorsEducate the product team on core UX techniques and principlesCollaborate with fellow UX practitioners across the company to share insights, seek/provide design feedback, and help mature user-centered practices.

Basic QualificationsDoctorate degreeORMaster’s degree and 2 years of directly related experienceORBachelor’s degree and 4 years of directly related experienceORAssociate degree and 8 years of directly related experienceORHigh school diploma / GED and 10 years of directly related experience.

Preferred QualificationsWork experience designing solutions that enable optimization of decision-making using data and analytics to drive insightsProfessional experience as a user experience designer or researcher, including a proven ability to conduct user research, facilitate usability reviews, conduct heuristic design reviews, wireframe, and prototypeExperience interviewing and interacting with senior leadersExperience working as a member of a product team and to partner with software engineers, business analysts, product owner, and othersOutstanding written and verbal communication skills, with ability to craft high-quality artifactsDetailed and analytical with the ability to multi-task and effectively set expectationsCreative problem-solver who proposes clear-cut design options rooted in a deep understanding of user needs and contextIntellectual curiosity coupled with quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, aimed at advancing effective user-centered solutionsProficient in Figma or similar rapid prototyping capabilities, and office productivity toolsPossesses a clear grasp of how UX methods align with software development approaches, including Agile.
