Come join our family at In-N-Out Burger!The In-N-Out Burger Events Department has an excellent opportunity for a temporary Event Planner I (Smiles Goal Parties) based in our Irvine, CA office. The Event Planner will work on the Regional Events team, which plans regional events such as company picnics, sporting tournaments, Smiles Goal parties, and Kids Christmas parties. This associate will be focused on the planning of Smiles Goal Parties specifically and may be asked to support other company events for In-N-Out Burger as needed.TEMPORARY 6-month Event Planner I assignment for the Events DepartmentPlan and execute Smiles Goal parties for In-N-Out Burger associates, including researching locations, negotiating contracts, coordinating vendors, and managing event budgetsManage ongoing communication with Store Management regarding event dates, locations, and other logisticsProvide the highest quality event experience for our AssociatesWork on a project with excellence from inception through completionAssist with administrative tasks to help the team stay organized and provide excellent customer serviceAssist and support the Events Department with onsite and “day-of-event” activities and operations as neededWork Schedule

Temporary assignment, 6 months | Anticipated work dates: September 2024 - February 2025Hourly rate: $23.81 per hourOffice hours in Irvine, CA: M-F, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; willing to be flexible with office hoursAnticipated work hours: 40 hours a week maximum, 20 hours a week minimumDepartment needs will call for occasional evenings and weekendsTravel time: It is anticipated that 10-15% of the work time will be spent in the field and will require overnight and weekend travel to the states where In-N-Out Burger operatesQualifications for INO Associates

In-N-Out Burger Store experience: At least 2 years – Prefers Level 5 or aboveSupport experience a plus: Office experience is beneficial in this roleStrong interest in pursuing a career as an Event PlannerAdditional Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Event Management, Hospitality, or related fieldA minimum of two (2) years of experience as an active meeting & event planner, preferably as it relates to planning employee events, corporate events, and/or employee engagement eventsPortfolio of previously managed events, such as corporate events, weddings, large corporate meetings, company parties, sports competitionsPassionate about employee engagement and the employee experienceCertificate in Meeting & Event Management preferred, but not requiredStrong time management and interpersonal skillsHighly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independentlyAbility to analyze situations and make decisions with minimal oversightExcellent written, verbal, and phone communication skills; communication with all levels of managementAbility to work autonomously/independently, yet be an integral part of an overall team environmentKnowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel. Online registration systems experience a plusStrong word processing and desktop publishing skills
