We are seeking a well-rounded Content Strategy & Communications Manager to join our Marketing and Communications team. This role is located in Cincinnati, Ohio, requiring presence in our downtown office at least 3 days a week.

A bit about us: We are a small and nimble marketing organization within the Chamber. That means we do it all – from strategy to implementation. We leverage one another’s skill sets, pitch in as needed, and outsource when we know it can be more efficient/effective.

The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled marketer and communicator with exceptional writing/editing skills and attention to detail. They will thrive on partnering with their teammates and internal stakeholders to deliver marketing and communications content that hits the mark. They will be able to take an idea or bullet points and turn them into messaging that easily translates across collateral and platforms to meet our audiences where they are. They will be highly collaborative, an agile team player and passionate about the Chamber’s mission and vision. They recognize their role is critical to the success of key revenue-driving events and in advancing the Chamber’s reputation in our region.

ResponsibilitiesPartner with the vice president of marketing & communications to plan, develop, and implement the Chamber’s overall content and thought leadership strategy.Create messaging strategy for various internal departments and initiatives along key target segments (B2B, B2C, & B2B2C) that aligns with the Chamber’s overall branding.Develop engaging and compelling content for Chamber audiences across multiple platforms including websites, social media, newsletters, and reports – including copywriting, editing and proofreading in partnership with others in the Marketing department.Serve as owner of all Chamber newsletters, including editorial calendars, content, list development and management.Provide metrics and analytics on content and audience engagement.Identify market trends and make recommendations to drive brand engagement to team members.Partner with marketing team and key Chamber leaders to produce speeches, press releases, and other external communications content.

Supervisor ResponsibilitiesThis position does not have supervisory responsibility. This role inspires action through collaboration, teamwork, thought leadership, relationships and information sharing. Communicates with and provides services to a wide range of internal and external contacts.

Qualifications And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism or a related field.10+ years of experience in a marketing and communications or related role.Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.Strong understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms, especially LinkedIn.A team player with excellent organizational, attention to detail, and technical skills.Expertise in the Microsoft Office software suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) or related tools.Strong knowledge of current marketing and communications trends, strategies, and best practices.Experience with email marketing, automation, and design software and tools, as well as comfort with basic HTML editing.Experience with content management systems, more specifically WordPress.Some experience or working knowledge of standard design tools, including the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) for basic design editing is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position is located in a climate-controlled downtown office site and requires a minimal amount of external activity. The job will require talking, listening, researching, and sitting for long periods working at a computer screen. This position does not require travel. Requirements include some evenings and weekends, flexible work week available to accommodate these instances.
