Uses basic science, agriculture, and technology transfer understanding to interview UF/IFAS plant breeding faculty, FFSP-licensees, and the agricultural community to develop content that is distributed as (1) web content for FFSP, (2) shared via social media, and/or (3) published in printed media.Creation and Management of Web Content
Effectively uses web software (e.g. WordPress, TerminalFour (T4) or other content management systems) to share information, data, and written communications on the FFSP website. The employee is expected to have the skills to work with video and photos to enhance and develop the website accordingly.Graphic Design
Uses design software and tools to create visual information and graphics to depict data and trends and to promote FFSP activities.Miscellaneous/Other
Responsible for coordination of FFSP’s presence at industry trade shows, conventions, etc. Special projects as assigned by FFSP’s Executive Director.Expected Salary:
$48,000-$65,000 or commensurate with education and experienceMinimum Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of appropriate experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization or a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and at least 2 years of appropriate experience. Experience communicating agricultural science and technology transfer activities to stakeholder audiences. Creativity and imagination are highly desired. Web development/content experience and video/photography experience is highly desired.Special Instructions to Applicants:
