Epic is looking for a passionate Lead UX Designer to join our Fortnite Battle Royale Quest team. In this position, you will lead and manage a team of UX/UI developers working on new and innovative quest systems. You will guide your team to produce well thought out features and systems by generating wireframes, documentation, and prototypes. You will then work with a multi-disciplinary team to ship these features to millions of players around the world.In this role, you will
Lead a team of UX/UI developers (2-4) working on Fortnite Battle Royale Quest systems, and roll up your sleeves and tackle UX design work as wellWork with Game Designers to translate goals and constraints into compelling user-facing experiencesCollaborate with other UX/UI leads to ensure great communication and build strong cross-team relationshipsPresent and pitch designs to Product Managers, Developers, and StakeholdersProduce UX design work such as competitive analysis, information architecture, content strategy, user stories, journey mapping, and accessibility standardsWork collaboratively across multiple teams within Fortnite to create consistency and resolve design discrepanciesBuild flexible design systems that enhance our ability to design more efficiently and consistentlyWhat we're looking for
You have 7+ years of experience working collaboratively to design features and complex UX systems through to completion across multiple platforms (Mobile, PC, Consoles)You have 7+ years of experience working in Agile environments and on multi-disciplinary teamsYou have 2-4 years of experience managing a team of 1-4 people or equivalent trainingYou have excellent written and verbal communication skills and at least 5+ years of experience presenting to other team members and stakeholdersYou are a service-oriented, empathetic, and compassionate leaderYou are skilled with Figma, the Adobe Suite, and prototyping softwareYou have a strong online portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutions with strong visual direction and interaction designYou have a passion for making and playing games and a strong sense of player empathyYou are a proactive individual who naturally leans into owning outcomes, and are able to deal with ambiguity well and quickly adapt to changes of planBonus points:You have worked on or shipped 2+ AAA game titlesYou have experience working in Unreal EngineA degree in related fields (Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Interaction Design, etc)EPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFE
