Description

The Distribution Design Engineer will be responsible for designing distribution structures to ensure NESC compliance. Position will also include working on telecommunication attachment jobs to provide adequate clearance in order to safely attach to structures. This position is design-heavy and will require creative solutions and competent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities And Duties

Interpret field data to use in engineering calculations and designsDesign distribution structures to meet all relevant regulations and standards required by the NESC and servicing utilityExamine post construction inspection data of existing electric facilities to evaluate compliance and determine if new construction was built to specPerform assessments of electric owned utility structures to determine candidacy for Joint Use by Telecommunications partiesPosition reports to Project ManagerThis is a full-time entry-level position

Minimum Qualifications And Skills

Must have basic understanding of aerial electric distribution equipmentTechnically proficient using Microsoft ExcelMust be comfortable communicating effectively and working in teamsMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.Must be able to pass a background check
