Job TitleSenior Editor, Shop NewslettersJob DescriptionThe Senior Editor, Shop Newsletters manages the shop newsletter team and helps execute the content strategy of shop newsletters to support revenue and traffic goals through growth and engagement across the Dotdash Meredith portfolio like People, InStyle, Travel + Leisure, Real Simple, Better Homes & Gardens, Food & Wine, Allrecipes, and Health.Job Functions:Edits shopping newsletters reviewing subject lines and touts for brand style and clickiness, including headlines, images, and links.This role involves writing strong headlines and subject lines that drive high engagement, promoting eCommerce articles within the shopping newsletters, selecting products for direct-to-retailer touts, and creating compelling copy that converts.Serves as primary shopping newsletter contact with the News & Deals team.Provides quality assurance with DTR links within newsletters.Ensures brand styles and guidelines are being met within newsletters.Helps shape and define shopping newsletter strategy to meet overall revenue targets.Provides monthly analysis of shop newsletter performance and works with editors to incorporate learnings into their newsletters.Identifies, onboards, and trains new freelance writers when needed.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Comfortable working in a fast-paced organization.Tracks competitive landscape to identify trends and opportunities within the space.Hybrid 3x a week - New York, New York or Des Moines, IowaIn-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Detail-oriented and deadline-focused with best-in-industry editing and proofing skills.Strong copywriter, capable of writing engaging, clean copy.Experience with web analytics tools. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith’s total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
