Senior Communications (Project) Manager - Transportation & Infrastructure (Hybrid)

Salary: $85,000-$105,000.00/annually, based on experience.About Us:

The office is within walking distance to shopping, dining and special events with free parking and transportation from the CTA Blue Line. While we will continue to offer a flexible work schedule, we are only considering candidates who are enthusiastic about being in the office to collaborate with their colleagues 2-3 days per week.This role supports our clients within the Transportation, Infrastructure & Mobility industries.Background:

Morreale Communications is an award-winning woman-owned public relations firm with a specialty focus in transforming outcomes in the areas of Transportation, Infrastructure & Mobility (TIM), Health & Wellness, Energy & Utilities and Public Affairs. We are looking to fill this position to lead and manage project teams with an eye on measuring key outcomes for our clients in our TIM practice.The Senior Communications Manager will work closely with project teams to develop and execute comprehensive communications tactics that include content development and communication strategy intended to reach diverse audiences using a combination of traditional and emerging resources.This person must be able to work collaboratively with and manage team members to develop and carry out communications strategies that shape highly technical transportation, engineering and planning information into digestible messaging and content for targeted audiences (including external stakeholders, industry stakeholders, public, etc.).We are looking for someone who has a passion for transportation and enjoys thinking outside the box to deliver innovative solutions. Must be able to work independently with excellent communication and customer service skills.Job Responsibilities:

Manage communications projects of various sizes and scopes related to engineering, transportation and infrastructure.Support clients by identifying effective messaging to communicate technical information across multiple platforms, to a multitude of audiences.Lead communication efforts between internal staff, external partners and the client regarding project-related initiatives.Oversee and monitor, ensuring QA/QC, on communication efforts for project initiatives, including creating, editing and assembling content for reports and manuals, presentations, newsletters and print materials.Develop and execute outreach messaging to distribute technical materials to stakeholders and community members.With support from the project team: lead coordination, outreach and execution for events and workshops to broadcast client updates to stakeholders and industry partners.Manage project budgets and schedules to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.Lead project teams of various sizes, ensuring clear communication and expectations regarding client deliverables and goals.Position Qualifications:

Required: Professional experience managing, overseeing and implementing communications within transportation, engineering, government, planning or other heavily regulated industries.Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and the ability to convey complex, technical topics in a clear and concise manner.Required: Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with client and external partners to collaborate and drive project deliverables forward.Required: Experience managing projects and project teams, including junior staff and relationships with clients and external partners.Ability to oversee project goals, develop plans to reach those goals and provide direction to team members to keep the project moving forward.Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to track multiple tasks, staff & projects simultaneously.Skilled at working with minimal supervision on high-profile projects.Familiarity with transportation and/or infrastructure policy & procedure.Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, project management, public policy or related field required.Must have reliable transportation and the ability to attend client events in-person.This is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days per week in the Morreale office.Commitment to Morreale Core Values:
