Senior Manager Device Design and Industrialisation
role is a lead role for an experienced mechanical engineer in combination product design and development. Here’s how this role will make an impact:Work within design teams to develop drug delivery devices, applying technical skills and management experience to meet challenges of evolving industry standards, commercial requirements, regulatory and user requirements.Provide technical leadership to device development projects, leveraging experience in device design, mechanism design, materials, and manufacturing processes.Utilize solid engineering principles, calculations, tolerance analysis, and CAE simulation techniques to drive design activities and evaluate technical risks.Apply critical thinking to navigate complex design constraints to achieve robust, cost-effective, functional device designs.About Your Skills & ExperienceWe’re looking for a candidate with the following qualifications, skills, and experiences:First or upper second mechanical engineering degree.Excellent technical skills and passion for mechanical engineering and mechanism design.Strong people management skills and experience.Tangible experience in design for manufacture of high-volume moulded parts and assemblies for medical or drug delivery applications.Experienced with 3D CAD; Creo and/or Solidworks, and analysis of tolerances and simulation techniques (FEA, CFD).Familiarity with Design Control principles within ISO 13485 & FDA 21 CFR Part 820.Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and teamwork are essential.International travel will be required as part of this role.Benefits at ViatrisWe offer competitive salaries, benefits, and an inclusive environment.
