We seek a dynamic and dedicated Director of Communications to join the St. Francis Borgia High School team. This individual will play a crucial role in developing and implementing effective communication strategies to enhance the school’s image and engage with various stakeholders, including students, parents, faculty, alumni, and the community. This full-time position will be a full-year role.Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.Experience in communications is preferred, preferably in an educational setting.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills.Proficiency in digital media management, including website content management systems and social media.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.Ability to work and collaborate effectively in a team environment.Job Responsibilities

Strategic Planning:Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans that support the school's strategic goals.Coordinate with the school leadership to ensure alignment of communication strategies with the school's mission and objectives.Content Creation and Management:Oversee creation, editing, and distribution of all school communications, including newsletters, press releases, website content, social media, and marketing materials.Ensure all communications are accurate, clear, and consistent in tone and branding.Implement established branding guidelines across all communications.Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and social media calendar.Media Relations:Build and maintain relationships with local media outlets to promote school events, achievements, and news.Write and publish press releases as needed.Digital and Social Media:Manage the school's website and social media platforms, ensuring content is current, engaging, and reflective of the school's values.Oversee social media channels for the school.Promote the school's mission and maintain creative, clear, and consistent communications.Print and Media Marketing:Oversee all print and media marketing material for the school, including implementing a cohesive strategy for all materials used for administration, advancement, admissions, programs, clubs, and educational departments.Oversee the design and production of the semi-annual Knightline magazine and the annual Advancement Report.Assist with ad hoc print ad production and planning as requested.Collaboration and Team Work:Work collaboratively with advancement team members on the production of all print and electronic media for fundraising, events, and admissions.In collaboration with the activities director and the director of events, ensure brand guidelines are maintained for athletic apparel and school-ordered merchandise.Support various event-related activities and externally facing advancement and admissions efforts.Confidentiality and Sensitivity:Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.Respect the confidentiality of all information related to the school, our constituents, and the Advancement Department.Special Projects:Lead special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Administration or other school leadership.Support fundraising and outreach efforts by attending events and creating compelling communication materials for campaigns and events.The Archdiocese of St. Louis is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
