As Media & Communications Coordinator, your key role will be to influence the flow of information between Community State Bank and the communities of Racine, Kenosha, and Walworth counties. You will have the opportunity to create marketing and communication strategies to creatively share the brand and mission of the organization through outlets such as photography, video, podcasts, public relations, and event marketing. This role will collaborate closely with all banking department leads such as the Executive Leadership Team, Human Resources, CSB Mortgage Center, Business Banking, CSB Wealth Management, Retail Operations, Special Clubs, and Shepherds Community Café.The Media & Communications Coordinator works closely with other members of the Marketing Team, and reports directly to the Chief Innovation Officer for the bank.Qualifications

BA/BS in Journalism, Communications or MarketingMinimum of 5-8 years of Experience in Brand/Marketing/Corporate CommunicationsBanking experience and knowledge of banking rules and regulations is preferred.Core Competencies

This also includes a working knowledge of Adobe Suite, video production/editing, photography, podcast production/editing, and an understanding of working with CMS and/or HTML code. Also an understanding of SEO and a willingness to learn the factors that affect SEO.Writing and Content Creation: Strong writing and proofreading skills for PR, website, social media, and advertising. Also knowledge in storytelling and creating scripts for audio and video.Digital Advertising and Social Media: Experience utilizing a variety of social platforms and social management platforms to promote Community State Bank’s brand and effectively engage and attract targeted audiences.Email Marketing/Marketing Automation: Ability to engage customers and prospects by developing effective email marketing strategies. Experience using iContact and Hubspot is a plus.PR & Media Relations: Maintains relationships with local media to share Community State Bank news and press releases with appropriate audiences. This also includes the creation of press releases and working with Community State Bank’s Leadership Teams to create meaningful content.Responsibilities

Digital Marketing and Communications

Identify and develop new opportunities for internal/external digital engagement.Coordinate and execute social media campaigns and ensure alignment with overall CSB mission and brand.Collaborate with CSB Department Leads to optimize messages for across digital channels.Evaluate emerging technologies to continue to enhance overall digital communications strategy.Monitor external company and brand social media channels daily, including planned and opportunistic posting. Manage direct messages as appropriate.Direct content / collateral for employer brand, recruitment and talent acquisition, culture and campaigns for social media and digital channels.Execute content-driven brand-building and culture-building campaigns that create more knowledgeable and service-minded associates through digital communications channels.Manage social media editorial calendar and post valuable, shareable content regularly, ensuring bank is positioned as an industry leader online.Support execution of collaborative intranet strategy to facilitate communication, collaboration and drive engagement (interested in helping/providing feedback or guidance).Website Management

Co-Administrator of content management system (CMS)Work with staff and experts to develop relevant, meaningful web content, and maintain content strategy and web standards.Work with staff and web vendors to improve the usability, design, and content of CSB.bank.Monitor and report regularly on website analytics and take corrective action when needed.Work with vendors to troubleshoot problems with the website and respond to user requests and comments.Public Relations

Act as program director for special communications projects as needed.Help develop marketing campaigns and collateral for various programs and events.Review and ensure quality of marketing distribution lists, create lists as needed.Creates newsletters, emails, and other communications as assigned.Tracks and reports email analytics.Works with compliance team to follow banking rules and regulations.Create and distribute press releases to appropriate media.Maintain an updated media contact list and develop media relationships.Content Creation

Design and edit graphics for print or web as needed.Coordinate the production of video content for the CSB Learning Center.Create and produce quality video content to promote Community State Bank.Coordinate, create, and produce podcasts for CSBroadcast.Create blog posts, articles, and marketing collateral as needed.Share the value of building business/community relationships through storytelling.Partner with local businesses and non-profits to provide marketing/banking expertise.Assist with event marketing: invitations, photography, videography, signage, and promotional needs.
