This Position can be located in the Lansing, Detroit or Flint areasStarting Salary $55,000 with potential bonuses within the budgetSUMMARYThe Social Media and Data Insights Manager is a unique role that combines the analysis of business data with managing and optimizing our social media presence. The ideal candidate will use their analytical skills to drive business decisions and their creativity to enhance our brand’s online presence while maintaining all Thrift Point of Service, Key Performance Indicator, and data.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSCommunications and MarketingUnder the Supervision of the Development and Communications DepartmentCreate, curate, and manage engaging content across all social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok) for Thrift.Conduct direct outreach to brand ambassadors, raffle winners, and any other necessary parties via VOAMI Thrift social media channels.Collaborate with the Development and Communications team to assess the effectiveness of promotional campaigns and social media strategies.Assist in the formation of other thrift-focused marketing content and rolling out of brand initiatives (employee interviews, buttons, signs/bag stuffers, etc.) as needed.Implement value-added marketing content that showcases the importance of the thrift industry to our audience.Department Systems AdministrationMaintain and update Thrift Point of Service (POS) reporting data collection and systems.Analyze and track loyalty program data using statistical techniques to identify trends and patterns.Conduct customer behavior analysis to understand purchasing habits and preferences.Document data processes, methodologies, and findings for transparency and reproducibility for the management team.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.Gather, clean, and analyze data from thrift data systems.Assist in setting up and maintaining thrift systems.Create and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize findings and track key performance indicators (KPIs).Compare Profit and Loss reports (P&L) with accounts payable to discover any errors in reporting.Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization tools.Administrative SupportAssist the Vice President of Thrift with department operations and administrative functions.Handle sensitive information appropriately and maintain high levels of confidentiality.Assist in day-to-day operations and logistics of thrift stores, as needed.Maintain and update the store loyalty program, metrics, and analytics.RELATED JOB FUNCTIONSEnsure that all duties are carried out in a timely and orderly fashion so that VOAMI functions in the most efficient manner possible.Uphold VOA mission through work performed.Other duties as assigned by Vice President of Thrift.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESMust have a bachelor's degree and/or three years clerical/administrative experience.Basic data analysis knowledge and experience.Basic finance knowledge and experience.Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.Must demonstrate a commitment to confidentiality and integrity.Must have a customer service mindset.Must have quality interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Must have sound and accurate judgment with the ability to explain reasoning.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to multitask.Ability to produce accurate work product in a timely manner and consistently meet deadlines.Ability to work some flexible hours and travel as required.Must maintain a valid Michigan Driver License and a driving record acceptable to Volunteers of America Michigan insurers.ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
