Instructional Designer - Training Curriculum Dev

up to $70 - $75/hr

Job Responsibilities:

Design and develop eLearning, virtual, or instructor-led learning solutions for technical, compliance, systems, or soft skills concepts, following established instructional design methodologies.Partner with cross-functional teams to conceptualize training design and content. Define learning objectives, course structure, learning content, and assessments.Complete a detailed analysis of each task to be trained/supported for the target audience, business process, and systems.Follow company standards, guidelines, and templates to develop learning materials including storyboards, eLearning modules, virtual learning, student and facilitator guides, activities, scenarios, assessments, or performance support.Visualize instructional graphics, scenarios, or interactions.Write clear and effective instructional text, audio, or video scripts appropriate for the target audience.Participate in meetings with subject matter experts including task analysis, alpha, beta, and answer validation meetings.Engage with subject matter experts for ongoing content review and validation.Receive and incorporate feedback.Self-manage assigned tasks and deadlines to complete deliverables.Proactively communicate issues and risks.

Skills

3+ years' experience developing eLearning, virtual, or instructor-led training.Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies.Strong knowledge of Articulate Storyline/WBT Development, PowerPoint, and Word.Flexibility to work on simultaneous development efforts, as needed.Desired:

Knowledge of training development applications - QuestionMark.Desired:

Knowledge of graphic design, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator.

Top Things:

Storyline WBT Background, Instructional Design Experience, Collaborative Project Development.

Notes:

Client laptops will be provided for the successful hire within the service territory. Otherwise, the vendor should provide the laptop. The vendor may also provide an External monitor as it will be helpful.The client will provide PPE in case needed.Prefers local candidates: this is primarily a work-from-home opportunity.That said, if they lived in the Bay Area, we'd likely pull them into a team meeting about every 6 weeks or so.Hybrid with 98% remote. If they lived locally, we'd ask to see them in person from time to time.
