This role will focus on the Media Cloud services, which include internal-facing applications used to manage media assets and our editorial Content Management Systems. These applications service thousands of internal users and are the hub for all Fox content, housing millions of digital assets and article content across all Fox business units.A Snapshot Of Your ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will manage a team of UX developers, typically focused on 3 main pillars of development:Building new, ‘greenfield’ applications/service integrations, as we continuously launch new products for our Fox Business partners.Building new components/component libraries/SDKs. Our code needs to be adaptable, so that we can support multiple businesses, multiple applications, and various downstream consumers of our content. A single component might generate output consumed by Web apps, mobile Apps, OTT devices, and 3rd party feeds.Keeping our codebase forward-focused and up to date. This could involve framework upgrades or supporting ever-changing API integrations.In addition to being a hands-on technician, you will also lead the team in:Project planningCode reviewProduct designSystems design and client architecturePrototyping/Scaffolding work - you’ll lead new project setup and build prototype applications that quickly become apps we use in production.Finally, you need to manage relationships with both internal and external development teams and stakeholders. Our code is ‘open-sourced’ internally, and technicians from other teams will be contributing to and adapting our code for their business/feature-specific needs.What You Will NeedYou will need to be an expert in building scalable applications using React/NextJS or Vue/Nuxt. You are also a Typescript expert and can write ‘Vanilla’ code for SDKs, Lambdas, and other service integrations. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
