Description

In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting the global communications strategy for Apple's sports initiatives, which include MLS Season Pass, Friday Night Baseball, and the Apple Sports iPhone app. Collaborating with the worldwide PR team, you will help to build and implement global launches and news announcements, lead initiatives across the ecosystem, identify and manage issues in continuous news cycles, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and engage third-party partners. This position requires a proactive, flexible individual with excellent communication and storytelling abilities. Candidates should have strong media relations skills and relationships, experience working with Hispanic media and social influencers across the sports landscape, proven experiences managing launches and experiential activations, navigating crisis communications, and driving momentum across various initiatives.

8+ years of experience in public relations.

A positive team-player with a passion for sports, media, and consumer technology.Experience in sports, technology, broadcast media or related PR spaces.Expertise in collaborating with professional sports leagues and athletes.Proficiency in executive communications and thought leadership.Natural self-starter who demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities. Can focus and deliver.Meticulous project manager with a passion for driving excellent, detail-oriented work.Effective collaborator who will work cross functionally with teams and across geographies.Ability to prioritize multiple projects and issues and thrive in a dynamic constantly evolving environment.Excellent writing, editing, and public speaking skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to drive collaboration by building positive relationships.Expertise working across product marketing, business teams, and other internal partners.Ability to quickly analyze media coverage and sentiment, see around corners, shape narratives and apply insights to the team's work.A strong understanding of the shifting and complex media landscape.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $137,100 and $206,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
