WSET ABC 13 has an immediate opening for a creative Content Producer. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day production of our newscasts. This position will work closely with the News Director, Assistant News Director, Executive Producer, Director, Assignment Desk, Reporters, and Anchors on the content of our daily newscasts. In this position you will determine the content and flow of newscasts, work with management and on-air staff to generate and write stories, and develop content for our web site.The ideal candidate will have:
Solid news judgmentBe a compelling and accurate writerBe able to multitask and manage time in order to put together an exciting and informative newscastAbility to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environmentStrong leadership and communication skillsThe ability to execute news strategies and goals in daily newscastsFlexibility and on-the-spot problem solving abilities are a mustProficient with newsroom systems, such as iNewsStrong with spelling and grammarExperience:
Some previous news producing experience at a commercial TV station or college is preferred, although the right entry-level candidate may be consideredA journalism degree is preferredShift to be determined.
