As a Marketing Specialist I, you will assist in the execution of integrated marketing campaigns to support achievement of Digital Marketing goals for JAMA Network & the AMA Ed Hub. Assist in the execution and development of email/SMS communications, CDP, and other digital marketing efforts designed to drive traffic to and increase engagement with AMA Ed Hub and JAMA Network websites and digital products. Track, interpret, and report analytics data for marketing programs and products. Work to improve digital marketing processes and increase automation capabilities.RESPONSIBILITIES:Digital Marketing Campaign SupportWork closely with editors, fellow marketers, advertising department, and web developers to ensure the editorial accuracy and technical integrity of all content in marketing effortsAssist in the development and implementation of scheduled and specialized digital marketing campaigns via CDP, Email, and SMSWork closely with business units to understand their campaign goals and align support of their marketing activities with current best practicesEnsure use of best practices and compliance around permission-based marketing, privacy, spam regulation (CAN/SPAM), and deliverabilityIn collaboration with the Analytics team, monitor, report, and provide insights on campaign metrics to Digital Marketing leadershipCollaborate with the Marketing Team to develop A/B tests, optimize messaging and creative in order to reach target audience and KPI objectivesProcess Improvement, Reporting, and MetricsWork with Analytics & Marketing Teams to ensure all campaigns have analytics tracking in place to measure KPIs and gain insightsSupport the marketing director by assembling sales forecasts, organizing promotional presentations, and updating calendarsConduct research of market trends, customer behavior, and competitor landscape, and prepare reports by analyzing and summarizing dataSupport the team and help create new workflow efficienciesDocument departmental processes and create workflows in LucidCoordinate new and ongoing projects to ensure deadlines are met and the project runs smoothlyMay include other responsibilities as assignedREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree with concentration in marketing, communications, or journalism preferred; or commensurate work experience required1+ years’ experience in marketingThorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as Email, SMS, or Advertising) and market research methodsDemonstrated experience with marketing and data analytics toolsWorking knowledge of MS Suite, ESPs, and other marketing softwareKnowledge of HTML, CSS, and web development tools is a plusWell-organized and detail-orientedExceptional communication and writing skillsCommercial awareness partnered with a creative mindThe pay range for this position in Chicago IL, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Washington D.C. is $55k-$72k. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
