Boise Cascade is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Communications Specialist who will plan, write, review, and manage content for a variety of internal mediums and produce professional, impactful end products. We welcome diverse backgrounds, views, and skills as we believe it results in stronger teams, inspired solutions, and greater agility as an organization.In this role you will :Research, write, and edit content for multiple channels, including print, electronic, intranet, social media, and presentations.Create strategic communication plans in support of key initiatives that define timelines, products, key messages, audiences, review teams, and delivery methods.Manage complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communication challenges.Translate complex information into clear, concise, and memorable messaging.Review and edit communications drafted by internal stakeholders and make recommendations to ensure alignment with Boise Cascade’s brand and style.Collaborate with subject matter experts and provide communications support across the organization as needed.Proactively build trust and maintain strong, cross-functional relationships with key internal stakeholders.Provide support for our community and philanthropic efforts in the Treasure Valley.Assist in gathering and reporting data, including analytics and feedback on the effectiveness and impact of our communications, and use that information to identify ways our communications team can better support the needs of our associates and our organizational goals.Demonstrate a strong commitment to our values of safety, integrity, respect, and the pursuit of excellence.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Required :Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field2-4 years of experience writing, editing, proofreading, and delivering communications (print and electronic)Outstanding written and verbal communications skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Sharepoint (intranet), Teams, Canva, Adobe, and working knowledge of web and graphic designPreferred :Experience in Human ResourcesBecause our business is built on relationships, people are critical to our success, and we’re committed to investing in you.
