HybridCarers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers across NSW and improving their quality of life through activities, programs, education and policy advice. We advocate for carers of all ages and circumstances.Reporting to the CEO, the Communications Coordinator is responsible for the hands-on and efficient delivery of Carers NSW communications strategy. This is a broad and varied role and includes organising events for Carers NSW, including activities for Carers Week.Responsibilities include:Coordinate publicity activities, including handling event enquiriesImplement media and communications strategiesCreate and implement promotional strategies to generate participation and engagement in Carers Week or other promotional and marketing initiatives of Carers NSWPrepare and distribute media releases on carer issues and Carers NSW policies and programsMaintain the production of a range of publications including newsletters,

and the Carers NSW annual reportOur ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:Tertiary qualification in communications or relevant discipline coupled with experience in communications, event management or public relationsSound project and/or event management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently to meet deadlines and budgetHighly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively negotiate and liaise with a wide cross-section of people including internal staff, partners, service providers and the wider communityDemonstrated experience with website maintenance and social media activitiesExcellent interpersonal, written and communication skills, with a high level of proficiency in content writingKnowledge of design skills: Adobe suite, Illustrator and PhotoshopEmployment Requirements:Satisfactory Police CheckCurrent Working with Children CheckCOVID-19 VaccinationRights to live and work in AustraliaSalary and Benefits:The annual base salary is around $108K + super.
