Communications Specialist
Position Overview:
The Communications Specialist supports experienced communications leaders on corporate communications plans, programs, and platforms to promote the company’s brand, growth, and objectives and supports results reporting for the communications group. This role provides an opportunity for experience and exposure to both internal and external communications, as well as marketing initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop content for the company intranet, including completing story interviews, writing, and posting content on business-critical topics and company initiatives.
Support, build, and manage communications tool kits, internal email communications and campaigns, including content generation, layout and formatting in CRM system, and list coordination and distribution.
Assist in coordinating employee engagement opportunities, charitable initiatives, and volunteer opportunities.
Support functional teams, under the guidance of CCM Communications Managers, in building and supporting communications plans and needs, advancing company goals.
Assist in developing press releases, media pitching, and external communications content, maintaining a media database and pitching media.
Measure, record, and present results of initiatives to Corporate Communications leaders; recommend changes to improve effectiveness.
Assist in building and managing presentations for company meetings.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, related field, and/or equivalent combination of education/experience.
1-2 years of communications experience.
Experience in AP style writing, a plus.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Advanced attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills.
Excellent prioritization, time management, and project management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft 365 platforms.
