YesGeneral Description of the Job ClassProvide leadership in the creation and implementation of major communication initiatives in support of Duke University Health System’s business services and human resources functions; oversee and implement internal communications; consult on media relations, design and development of communications initiatives, materials and planning.Duties and Responsibilities of this Level· Partner with business services and human resources leaders to identify business priorities and determine needed communications support.· Work in partnership with system and entity communicators to curate and disseminate information to DUHS leaders and team members through established and new communication channels.· Represent health system communication priorities in leadership meetings and establish strategies to support health system initiatives.· Develop, direct and implement communications strategies that advance business and talentforce priorities, policies, procedures and programs across DUHS.· Direct and supervise the operation of a team dedicated to planning and implementing effective communications strategies for business services and human resources.· Direct the creative and production aspects of all audio, video and written forms of communication for certain health system initiatives related to culture building, employee experience, talent development, and other human resources and corporate. Functions.· Partner with system stakeholders to develop and implement new strategies that will successfully equip DUHS leaders with effective tools and skills for communicating with their teams.· Successfully draft technical communications (e.g., compensation, HR policies) and culture communications.· Negotiate and prepare proposals for new communications-related projects.· Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.Required Qualifications at this LevelEducation:

Work requires communication, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related discipline.Experience:

Work requires six year’s experience in writing, public relations, communications, or a related discipline to include a minimum of two year’s experience in the health care field.OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEDegrees, Licensure, and/or Certification:
