Our team isan integrated facility and infrastructure design team consisting of coreservices of Mechanical, Electrical, Structural and Site Civil Engineering.In addition, we offer specialty services consisting of Fire & LifeSafety, Building Commissioning, Specialty Lighting, Controls Systems,OT Cybersecurity, Low Voltage/Security/Telecom and ConstructionServices. Our team works in a wide variety of markets includingCorporate/Commercial, Healthcare, Industrial, Water/Wastewater,Federal and Mission Critical buildings and infrastructurePrimary ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Senior Lighting Designer, we'll count on you to:Work with project teams on all aspects of the art, science and business oflighting designTake responsibility for project management, presentations, lightingcalculations, cost models, energy and economic calculations,construction documentation, and construction administration support.Support all marketing efforts and coordinate scope of services.Maintain knowledge of lighting needs for HDR's primary market sectors:Healthcare, Science and Technology, Federal, Civic, CorporateCommercial, and Entertainment.Supervise less-experienced lighting designers as neededPublish articles and submit projects for lighting design awards.Perform other duties as needed#LI-LA1Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering specializing in LightingDesign or closely related field10 years of experience devoted to architecture lighting designLighting Certified (LC) through the National Council on Qualifications forthe Lighting Professions (NCQLP)Professional member of the International Association of Lighting Designers(IALD) and/or Certified Lighting Designer (CLD) through the IALD.Member of Illuminating Engineering Society.Extensive knowledge of the art, science and business of lighting designExcellent presentation skills and strong computer skill using AGI32,eLumtools, Revit, AutoCad and Microsoft OfficeExperience in sustainable designLighting design experience in the following market sectors: Healthcare,Science and Technology, Federal, Entertainment, Corporate Commercial,and CivicStrong verbal communication skillsExcellent organization and time management skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentAble to effectively prioritize multiple tasksEffective working individually and within team environmentsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of ouremployee-owned culture is a mustPreferred QualificationsProfessional Society involvement and/or industry leadership.Extensive project experience in a new or emerging market sector potential forHDR.PE licenseLEED, WELL and/or EDAC certificationSketchUp, 3DS Max, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Rhino,Grasshopper, DIVA, iRay, Lumion.Why HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work or it's also aboutwhat you do and how you do it.
