LouthJob Summary:The Marketing Officer will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that enhance the visibility and meet the goals set by the management team to see the continued growth of Connect Credit Union, one of the most progressive and professional credit unions in the country with assets of over €83m and 16,500 members. This role will involve creating and managing campaigns along with overseeing and partaking in public relations efforts. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with excellent communication skills and must have great enthusiasm for all things marketing and knowledge of relevant techniques and principles.Key Responsibilities:Marketing Strategy & Execution:Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan to achieve membership growth, product awareness, and engagement targets.Create, manage, and optimize multi-channel marketing campaigns, including but not limited to digital, social media, print, website, events and member communicationsCollaborate with internal teams to promote new products, services, and initiatives.Conduct market research and analyse trends to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing efforts, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet objectives.Public Relations & Communications:Develop and maintain relationships with local media, community organizations, and other key stakeholders.Prepare and distribute press releases, newsletters, and other communications to promote activities and achievements.Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.Plan and execute PR events, sponsorships, and community outreach programs to enhance the credit union's visibility and reputation.Branding & Content Creation:Ensure consistent application of the brand across all marketing and communication materials.Work with graphic designers and other professionals to produce high-quality marketing materials.Member Engagement & Community Outreach:Develop and implement member engagement strategiesCoordinate community outreach efforts, including sponsorships and volunteer activities.Represent the credit union at community events and industry conferences to build relationships and promote the brand.Budget Management:Assist in the development and management of the marketing budget.Monitor expenses to ensure activities are within budget and provide regular reports on financial performance related to marketing activities.Qualifications:Education & Experience:Experience & proven track record in a Marketing role covering duties outlined mandatoryHonour’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field highly desirable, but not essentialFull drivers licence requiredSkills & Competencies:Strong understanding of marketing principles, including digital marketing, content marketing, and brand management.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and engaging content.Proficient in using marketing software and tools.Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives.Creative thinker with strong attention to detail.Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external third partiesKnowledge of financial products and services is a plus.Personal Attributes:Proactive, self-motivated, and results oriented.Strong ethical standards and commitment to the mission of the credit union.Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.Benefits:Competitive salaryOpportunities for professional development and career growth.Positive and inclusive work environment.How to Apply:
