We are on the lookout for a digitally savvy Multimedia Designer to join the Digital Creative & Content team, crafting engaging multimedia content that resonates across corporate editorial and social media platforms. Working closely with multimedia designers and the Creative Director, the ideal candidate will conceptualize, design, and execute diverse projects related to our editorial and social campaigns. We are looking for someone with versatile content creation skills including graphic design, animation, illustration, video editing, social strategy, and brand storytelling. Key Responsibilities:

Create a wide range of design assets, including static graphics, animations, videos, illustrations, and web banners, tailored for both social media and editorial use.

Design and produce multimedia content for social media that stands out, including impactful graphics, animations, and videos, to keep our digital presence fresh and engaging.

Use your expertise in motion and illustration to elevate editorial content, ensuring visuals effectively support and enhance the narrative.

Explore creative approaches and techniques that deliver fresh, impactful visuals aligned with our brand’s digital objectives.

Demonstrate your ability to conceptualize and execute creative ideas that engage and resonate with audiences.

Submit polished design drafts and final assets for review, making sure each piece aligns seamlessly with our brand’s identity.

Work independently and collaboratively, managing deadlines and maintaining clear communication with project managers and marketing teams.

Adapt to evolving project requirements, drawing from your in-house or agency experience to consistently deliver high-quality work.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.

5-7 years of experience in-house or at an agency, showcasing adaptability to diverse design challenges for digital media marketing.

Proven experience in multimedia design, showcasing expertise in graphic design, illustration, animation, motion, and video.

Established track record of crafting content for various social platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

Experience in creating editorial visuals that enhance and support written content.

High level of proficiency in standard design applications, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, Lightroom).

Portfolio reflecting a diverse range of creative multimedia projects across various digital platforms.

Proficiency with 3D is a plus.

An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, ability, and performance.

The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.

You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance.
