The successful candidate must be experienced in creating and optimizing InDesign layouts, book production, and demonstrate an interest in learning new software, techniques, and show a willingness to incorporate what they've learned.What are some of the responsibilities?Complete layout assignments for print and digital delivery using Adobe Creative SuiteIndependently organize work and efficiently manage time to meet production schedules, while contributing to several projects concurrentlyAccurately and consistently maintain job status details and trackingResponsible for file management and maintenance throughout production lifecycleUtilize established guidelines and processes to perform job functionsCollaborate with internal customers and team members to manage project timelines and expectationsAssist with department priorities to accommodate project needsAdapt to changing priorities to accommodate project changes and adjustmentsWhat are the knowledge and skills requirements?5+ years of experience with layout/page design, publishing, or relatedHighly experienced with Adobe Creative Cloud (esp. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Word, Excel); including extracting content for use in other applicationsPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experienceFamiliarity with XML, HTML, and EPub a plusThe IndividualFriendly, knowledgeable, adaptable, professional, responsible, accountableAdept at page layout and experienced with publishing concepts, practices, and proceduresEagerness to adapt to changing prioritiesFine-tuned organizational skillsWilling and able to handle multiple projects, deadlines, and expectations with an upbeat attitudeSelf-motivated team role model who shows initiativeStrong attention to detail
