Marketing/Communications SpecialistThe BRR Marketing/Communications team seeks a creative and detail-oriented teammate to create compelling content for the company’s channels and for new business initiatives. The individual should be an avid writer, storyteller, marketer, and steward of the BRR brand.Our company’s mission is to create inspiring architecture and provide full-service architecture services and we’re looking for a strong team member to craft those stories. An ideal candidate enjoys working on fast-paced teams, acts as a self-starter and meets weekly deadlines.This team member will:Serve as the team’s primary copywriter, working with internal thought leaders to develop content for the company blog, website, social media channels, and internal communications channels.

This role includes drafting project copy for use in marketing collateral and new business proposals, and updating corporate resumes and project summaries.Some new business proposal management may be required.

Contribute ideas and content to the firm’s social media strategy, work with the Manager to maintain social media calendar.Support copywriting for external award entries, work with the Manager to ensure deadlines are met.Manage frequent updates to the firm’s intranet site and draft copy for new announcements.Assist in the production and management of the firm’s all-company meetings and work with presenters to develop content.Serve on planning committees for both internal and external events, coordinate event details such as invitations, RSVP management, gifts, and signage.Provide project management support with internal initiatives, such as community service and social events.Manage photography assignments and work with vendors to schedule photo shoots.

Research and negotiate contracts with photographers.Collaborate with graphic designers on final aesthetic of photography and provide input.

Collaborate with HR partners on employee recruitment and retention initiatives.Manage the BRR Company Store and vendor relationships.Contribute ideas for innovation and efficiency in marketing communications.Other activities as required by supervisor.Qualifications and skills:Strong writing, grammar, and proofreading skills. Knowledge of AP Style preferred.Understand marketing and communications fundamentals.Strong verbal communication skills.Experience with Adobe Design Suite, specifically InDesign.Experience with digital marketing software platforms, including Later, WordPress, Survey Monkey, Mailchimp.

Knowledge of Google Analytics preferred but not required.

Expert with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Proficient with presentation software (e.g. PowerPoint, Prezi).Ability to be creative and strategic, translating concepts and information into compelling copy.Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to prioritize workload and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously.Team-oriented with the ability to positively interact with team members – reliable, honest, outgoing, friendly, approachable.Open to direction and feedback.Proactive problem-solver who seeks clarification as necessary.Education:Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Advertising, or Marketing preferred.1-3 years’ experience in marketing communications, A-E-C industry experience preferred but not required.1-2 years’ experience in social media for B-to-B companies preferred.Working Conditions:Work is performed primarily in an office setting.90% of work is performed on a computer while seated.10% of work includes packaging and distributing (including shipping) marketing materials.Travel minimum.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.Full-time Exempt
