Today, we’re looking for a Manager of UX Design to help us develop digital experiences that resonate with the aspirations of our current and new customers. You will be curious to understand what matters most to users and want to elevate bose.com to be our greatest brand platform. You will have an opportunity to lead a growing UX team, defining the vision and strategy across the digital Bose customer journey. You will have a proven track record of design leadership and a passion for human-centered design practice. You’ll have the ability to balance big experiences with the critical details that matter most. While developing and encouraging a UX/UI team to understand the value and impact of an outstanding customer experience.Main Responsibilities
Provide effective leadership for a growing and maturing UX/UI teamsManage UX/UI professionals and provide coaching and mentoring for your organizationChampion UX and human-centered thinking across the enterpriseDefine an organizational design strategy and grow a UX/UI team that delivers solutions in support of the business and technology goalsApply research and customer insight methods to understand our customers’ wants and needs.Advise on optimization to remove user friction and increase engagementProvide designs for development to mature platform capability and optimize user experience, responsive behavior, and ADA compliance.Lead the approach to updating design system and oversee execution of updatesDefine and design intuitive experiences that deliver on the business strategies and objectivesClosely collaborate with developers, PO’s, content strategy, and UI/UX designQualifications and General Skills
Undergraduate degree in Design, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, or a closely related field7-10+ years of experience managing and mentoring UX professionalsDeep expertise in UX design and user researchExperience developing, curating, and updating design systemsExperience synthesizing user research and customer insights. Using data to inform design, understand the platform’s performance, and identify improvement opportunities.Familiarity with common research and design toolsBasic understanding of front end code language and coding practiceExperience presenting and the ability to convey concepts and other information clearly, concisely, and compellingly.Proficient with Adobe XD, Figma, Principle, In Vision, or comparable applicationsBose is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
