Position Summary:

Signet is in the process of transforming its marketing function into a highly agile, customer-centric, and personalization-driven operation. Towards this, Signet has identified key segments that it wants to channel personalized marketing communications to create real value for customers and for Signet.To mobilize this transformation, Signet has launched customer marketing/personalization Pods to perform test and learn experiments in the market, with real customers to test what campaigns work, what don’t, and with targeted messaging and outreach.As the Design Manager for Personalization Marketing, you will be a key member of Signet’s three Personalization Marketings Pods and will play a critical role in leading the creative designs and builds of assets for emails, paid social, display, and other channels as needed across Signet’s brands.You will work closely across the Pod to understand the objective of the given creative while providing creative guidance to a team of agency designers. Along with the agency designers, you will build the assets starting from creative brief all the way to ensuring final assets are delivered. While most assets are built by a dev team, some email build/HTML knowledge is required. You’ll be responsible for understanding brands guidelines, current images within rights, and channel design best practices across Signet’s banners.

Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Design emails, paid social, display, and other channels. You will ensure that the designs match the strategy and creative briefs and make any necessary edits before a design is finalized.Review and provide effective feedback to agency partners on email designs.Compositing and retouching jewelry and lifestyle photography for use in designs via the Digital Asset Management (DAM).Perform email campaign quality assurance and provide appropriate feedback to the development team.Develop email designs in ESP.Performs additional duties and projects as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

Previous experience designing emails for development in an email software client. Must have previous emails designs to share.Previous experience designing paid media ads, banner ads, and website assets. Must have previous designs to share.Previous experience with compositing and retouching photography.Previous experience navigating an online digital asset management platform.Previous experience leading a design or agency team, with a strong knowledge of how to deliver effective guidance and feedback.Previous experience working in an agile marketing environment is a plus.Previous experience working in the jewelry, fashion or luxury space is a plus.

Skills:

Expert knowledge of typography, color, layout, and other design principles.Must have a strong understanding of utilizing brand guidelines and can understand style differences between different brands.Must be able to actively communicate with team leads to understand the strategy and deliverables, and articulate creative thinking behind the design decisions.Strong written communication skills as well as proofreading skills.Detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, highly productive and collaborative approach to work.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects for different brands simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.Strong presentation skills and ability to understand feedback and implement future changes.Possess strong capability to consider a range of applications and audiences for each project.Must be able to identify gaps in current design and photography assets and offer recommendations for new content.Strong ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment and work both independently and as part of a team.

Education Required:

A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Art, Journalism, or related field.

Years of Job-Related Experience Required:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant design experience and 2 years leading a design team.At least 3 years of experience working for an e-commerce or retail company.

Technical/Other Skills Required:

Superior knowledge and skills with Adobe Creative Cloud suite; with an expert-level knowledge of Adobe XD and Figma.Email development skills are a plus, especially previous experience with ESPs.Experience with A/B testing and other testing methodologies to optimize campaign performance.Knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.
