DescriptionAre you a systems thinker with a passion for messaging and great prose? Are you equally excited about crafting educational content and creating systems for standardization? Amazon Web Services is looking for a customer-obsessed, language-sensitive, detail-oriented marketing manager to develop training curriculum, templates, and mechanisms for product messaging and positioning at AWS.In this role, you directly affect the experience for millions of customers considering the complex solutions and services offered by AWS. You will create curriculum and systems that enable the entire product marketing organization to deliver clear and compelling messaging and positioning for AWS products and solutions.You will use strong writing and editing judgment to champion high standards for product messaging, positioning, and storytelling, and you will inspire teams to follow those standards. You will also develop quality and success metrics for the product marketing organization, and own continuously reporting on and improving those metrics. And you will research our audiences, analyze the existing messaging guidelines, competencies, and processes, and develop/deliver training curriculum, resources, and mechanisms for improvements based on user experience data and best practices.The ideal candidate will have experience building and leading training programs focused on developing topnotch messaging and storytelling, streamlining processes, and continuously improving contributor self-sufficiency. Also important is a creative, entrepreneurial spirit, as the role requires building a training program from the ground up, from assessing organizational needs to creating mechanisms for measuring program effectiveness.To excel in this position, you should be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with more ambiguity—and more chances to lead--than usual. You should have a proactive approach to solving problems and building sustainable solutions. You'll need strong cross-functional leadership experience and the proven ability to influence others. And you should enjoy being part of a team whose members support each other and pull together on critical programs and tasks.This role will sit in Seattle WA only. Relocation to this location only from within the US only.Key job responsibilities

Develop a plan for building engaging training and resources to help marketers build messaging and content with greater quality, consistency, and confidence.Design a training program based on a needs assessment and training best practices.Create mechanisms for managing the program, assessing effectiveness, and updating stakeholders.Continually assess organizational needs and the effectiveness of training and resources.Basic Qualifications

4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experienceExperience using data and metrics to drive improvementsExperience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze dataExperience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completionPreferred Qualifications

Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programsExperience in marketing or marketing researchAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $64,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
