EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION:

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Ten years of experience in communications strategy development, marketing, public relations, and customer service and five years of experience directly supervising staff and leading teams. Excellent writing, creativity, speaking, and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Must possess the ability to seek out innovative new methods and strategies and incorporate them into existing practices.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Oversee and implement brand marketing and communications strategy.

Educate internal audiences on brand promise to ensure positive customer interactions.Build awareness of the organization, its services and unique ways of innovating care.

Develop marketing budget for Jewish Senior

Life , assume budget responsibility.Oversee the development and implementation of census-building marketing strategies for lines of business.Oversee the development and use of all marketing and sales materials, including website, advertising, electronic media vehicles, brochures, direct mail, and newsletters.Oversee public relations and the development of relationships with local media to garner positive media coverage.Oversee the management of content on internal communication vehicles, including the Intranet, lobby television, and elevator displays.Develop a strong network among referral sources and organize outreach efforts among community partners to nurture public opinion.Recommend and manage special events to draw prospects, as well as referral groups.Support the advocacy efforts for the organization in partnership with Leading Age New York.Provide guidance and support to the Foundation.Report on results of department goals.Serve as an active member of the Leadership Team.

OTHER FUNCTIONS

Serve as Manager on Duty as scheduled (typically 1 weekend/year).Work occasional weekends and evenings as required.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).

EXPERIENCE:

Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in business or related field with at least seven years of marketing experience, preferably in retirement housing, health care, or consumer service field. At least three years of supervisory experience is required. Must have computer experience and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
