about our Big Idea and Meet our College President, Dr. Kathleen Plinkse!What are the Position Requirements:A Master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution with a major in Art History, Humanities, or Fine Arts OR 18 graduate semester hours in Art History, Humanities, or Fine Arts and a master's degree is required.This position may require face-to-face teaching modality.We are hiring faculty members to teach the following courses: ARH 1000 Art Appreciation, ARH 2050 Art History I, ARH 2051 Art History II, and HUM 1020 Intro to Humanities.This position is available at the East, Downtown, Osceola and Winter Park campuses.Please note that you will need to establish Florida residency within 30 days from your start date if selected for this position.Why Work for Valencia College:

Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student learning in keeping with Valencia’s learning-centered values.Essential Job Functions

Prepares and delivers instruction to students in assigned modalities.Provides feedback to students in matters related to academic success in a timely manner.Prepares and submits required documentation including course syllabi and final course grades.Maintains and disseminates current information pertaining to services available to students.Is familiar with and maintains behavior consistent with college policies.Maintains professional development according to personal needs and requirements for certification.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications

Required Qualifications:Teaching experience at the community college level.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge and understanding of learning-centered values.Ability to develop and implement diverse teaching and learning strategies.Ability to effectively communicate interpersonally, orally, and in writing.Working Conditions:This job operates in a professional office environment and throughout the College’s worksites and grounds.Supplemental Questions
