The Harris For President campaign is looking for talented creatives to join its video team, with a focus on producing and editing high-performing videos for social platforms, primarily focused on Vertical formats, and formats for YouTube (and secondarily on Facebook). The ideal candidate for this role has experience filming and editing video, a passion for politics, and expertise in current best practices in video across social platforms. Candidates should be comfortable working independently in an ever-changing environment. This position is full-time and based in Wilmington, DE.NOTE: The campaign is looking for two (2) Senior Producers -- one specifically focused on Vertical video, and one focused on YouTube platform video. Key Responsibilities
Ideate, produce and direct short-form video for the campaign designed to reach and engage supporters and persuadable audiences across social channels, focused on either vertical format or YouTube formatsWork under tight deadlines to create engaging and highly shareable videos that express key messaging in unique and memorable waysCoordinate with the rest of the video and digital mobilization teams to ensure video is distributed quickly and efficiently with editors and stakeholdersEdit videos using a mix of original footage, news footage, archival footage and animationDevelop high-potential concepts for new videosHelp manage video shoots as they come upCommunicate across departments to ensure that videos accomplish collective goalsGuide videos through the internal approvals processAnalyze video performance and use data to ensure that videos have the potential to reach millions of peoplePreferred Skills & Qualifications
3+ years experience producing social media content with a focus on either Vertical formats or YouTube, for political campaigns, ad agencies, or tv networks/film marketingProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere, and familiarity with motion graphics and animation software and techniquesExperience editing videos for social platformsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at onceAbility to work both independently as well as part of a team or crewAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
