Laughter and positive energy is a constant in our shop. Our crew is constantly on the move, working on new and exciting projects, and the company is growing rapidly. As a result, we have recently purchased a new building and are doubling our workspace to accommodate more awesome sign projects! So, design and production experience in the sign-making industry is a plus but it’s not a requirement. After all, we do provide at least SOME training. But, we do require this person to think/design creatively, communicate effectively, and on good days, walk simultaneously. :)So, Here’s The Long And Short Of ItThis is a full-time gig that works Monday through Friday from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. Overtime is occasionally available as needed to keep up with the workload. Nights and weekends are for family time. Pay is based on experience and your personal awesomeness level. Monthly Bonus Pay is also available and based on the overall company awesomeness level.The primary function for this position is to design and create all types of signs, which includes printing wide-format graphics, cutting vinyl on a plotter, and using a laminator. We expect this person to oversee the initial design and production of signs. Additionally, this key player will also help with the application and/or installation of signs. Of course, we also expect you to dress appropriately (super cool Signarama gear will be provided), help answer the phones, interact with customers professionally, keep a clean, organized work area.TO BE TRULY AWESOME FOR THIS POSITION, YOU WILL HAVEBasic computer knowledge (duh) and willingness to learn our client software programProficiency with Illustrator, Photoshop, and Stock Image WebsitesKnowledge and experience with Flexi-Sign is not only preferred, but also incredibly helpfulSome experience operating & trouble-shooting sign-related equipment (We’re not looking for MacGyver. We just need someone to be able to clear a paper jam and load a new ink cartridge occasionally.)Ability to interpret work orders, follow customer’s directions, and create quality designsDemonstrated pride in craftsmanship and final product qualityAbility to pass basic math and spelling tests (See also: “Can use a Calculator and Spell Check”)Good organizational skills with a strong attention to detailA self-starter, willing attitude (seriously, who wants their hand held all the time?)The ability to keep up in a fast-paced environmentThe ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines (Think circus-level plate spinner and you’ll be on target.)The ability to pass a background check and a drug screenValid proof of USA residencyA good driving recordWE’RE NOT LOOKING FOR A DESK JOCKEY, SO YOU MUST ALSO BE ABLE TOStand, bend, and kneel on a regular, daily basisClimb a ladder (preferably without falling down)Operate basic hand and electrical toolsLift up to 50 lbs as occasionally requiredADVICE:
