Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Project Designer to join our amazing culture. The Senior Project Designer for Security Engineering with a focus on the Data Center Vertical will provide security engineering and design support within Convergint with a focus on the data center vertical. What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”Convergint's greatest strength is our people! Every colleague is encouraged to participate in our Recruit Awesome People program, helping us grow Convergint by promoting our colleague-first culture and referring top talent to the Talent Acquisition Team and hiring managers.Carries out in-depth analysis of plans, functional specifications and contracts in order to determine and advise on overall project requirements; supports a wide variety of project aspects including estimating, design, planning, design engineering.Provides input on and reviews security standards, shop drawings and wiring diagrams, based on customer site assessments, project plans and specifications, showing location of devices, equipment, and wiring etc.Creates and documents customer specific security standards, design guides, templates and folders in order to facilitate the design engineering of projects for customers and in order to enable our CTCs and our regional design teams.Advises Project Manager regarding appropriate products needed for installation.Always acts as “our customer’s best service provider” thereby ensuring Convergint is the customer’s first choice for service.May provide custom systems integrations, detailed systems upgrade planning and support the execution of systems audits and consultation, and/or database management and manipulation.Prepares and/or reviews formal submittal booklets, containing schematics, and technical literature as necessary to support each contract. May be required to perform other Project Manager duties as needed.Acts as a technical resource and support to sales executives including attending presentations to the customer and pre booking meetings.Using technical knowledge, skills and experience, acts as mentor and provides training for less experienced staff. Provides performance feedback to management regarding project designers.
