Description/Job SummaryPOSITION SUMMARY:
At Arkana, we see graphic design as visual storytelling that engages, informs, and inspires. We're looking for a talented graphic designer who can take concepts and ideas and create visual representations, in both print and electronic media. As the Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for bringing your creativity to all aspects of your role. Most likely you geek out over fonts, color stories, clever brand messaging, unique paper finishing, and overall appreciate valuable content and design. If you enjoy those things and want to make a big impact in our tiny field of kidney pathology, you're our people.Essential Functions Statement(s)
Work on a wide range of internal and external projects and media, using various programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals.Obtain input from managers or other stakeholders to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations.Work independently as well as cooperatively with the marketing team to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and schedule project implementation based on workload.Work with vendors or other designers on larger scale projects, such as website or booth design.SKILLS & ABILITIES
Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software.Strong ability to design while keeping brand integrity intact.Self-motivated drive to explore creativity and innovation within brand identity.Project management and ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively.High attention to detail.Desire to continue building skill set with education and training.Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects and tasks.Curious and positive attitude.Education:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in graphic design, art, or related discipline.Experience:
Three or more years of experience in professional graphic design, preferably with a creative or marketing agency.Computer Skills:
Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript. Knowledge of WordPress and content management systems.We know that health is more than doctor visits and life is more than work.
