Responsibilities
Design of fire alarm and fire suppression systemsReview and development of life safety plansLife safety and building code consultingCollaboration with a variety of engineering and architectural disciplinesInterface with local AHJs and building owner insurance representativesDevelopment of site fire protection features and fire department access plansAnalysis of smoke movement, means egress, and fire hazardsCommunication with clients and writing technical reports
Qualifications
Bachelor’s of Science degree from an ABET accredited engineering programProfessional licenseExperience in fire suppression, fire alarm, and life safety review and designExperience with Revit, AutoCad, and fire protection related computational programsKnowledge of adopted building codes and governmental (DoD, VA, GSA) standardsExperience working with NFPA codes and standardsProven track record of communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to obtain security clearance as requiredCapability to travel is preferred.
