The right candidate should be passionate about design thinking, human-centered design, usability, and accessibility. This individual can plan, execute, and communicate research on a deadline to uncover actionable insights that lead to the right solutions.Are you passionate about UX Design? If you answered yes to any of these, then we have the job for you. Apexon is looking for a full-time UX Designer to join our team. This individual will be working with one of our clients in St. Louis. Ideally located in St. Louis.This individual must be comfortable with traveling nationwide to client sites (up to 30%) when required, and comfortable working directly on-site with clients.This role requires someone who has a proven ability to work collaboratively in a small UX team working for an enterprise client.Every project will be different, but you’ll always be responsible for:Collaborating with UX team to develop user interface designs and solve UX issues.Assisting in the creation of user-centered designs from user research, stakeholder feedback, product requirements, and usability principles.Working collaboratively alongside developers and designers in an Agile environment/workflow.Supporting multiple projects simultaneously while meeting key deadlines.Partnering with UX Architects, Researchers, Analysts, and Product Leadership.Communicating design ideas with the implementation team(s) and stakeholders.You’ll Be Responsible For (Responsibilities)What You’ll NeedMinimum 1 year of professional UX Design experience, including contributing to some design/delivery of client-facing projects post-training/school.Degree or an ongoing degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Visual Communication, User Experience Design, Industrial Design, or similar field.Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, presentation, and collaboration written and verbal skills.Strong ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.Experience in working with development teams in an Agile environment.Working with UX Researchers and UX Designers to develop and iterate user interface designs based on research.Experience with Figma and any other design and rapid prototyping tools.Experience with Teams, Miro, Figjam, and other collaborative tools.Experience utilizing, maintaining, and contributing to design systems.Understanding design principles fundamental (typography, layout, grid systems, hierarchy, colour, composition), prototyping, and wireframing.Ability to document process and progress of projects.Ability to prioritize needs across multiple projects.Attention to detail.Experience designing for desktop, mobile, and other screens.Desire to work hands-on for projects from start to finish with the ability to recognize business goals and technical constraints.Capable of understanding how design contributes to broader goals.Should be able to showcase their work via a digital portfolio that demonstrates user-centered design process and problem-solving skills.Ability to work with Mac or PC systems, and MS Office or iWork.What We’d Love You To HaveEnterprise UX experience.Proficiency with HTML5 and CSS3.Experience with enterprise design systems.Experience with data visualization.Familiarity with project management tools.You’ll Have (Qualification & Experience)Bachelor's Degree in related field is required.Don’t worry if you don’t check all the boxes; we’d still love to hear from you.Our Commitment To Diversity & InclusionApexon is committed to being an equal opportunity employer and promoting diversity in the workplace.
