User Experience Design and Development ManagerThe User Experience Design and Development Manager is a strategic leader responsible for steering the development and upkeep of cutting-edge consumer-facing digital solutions. This position involves orchestrating a visionary journey, leading a dynamic team through the strategic planning and execution of digital initiatives that align with the organizational objectives. In addition to fostering innovation, the role encompasses talent management, financial acumen, and crafting a roadmap for digital excellence that anticipates future industry trends. This person is key in shaping Kreg’s digital narrative and ensuring its continued success in the evolving digital landscape.So, What’s the Gig?Inspire and guide a high performing team in crafting superior technical solutions for all digital initiatives.Responsible for talent management of Kreg’s Digital Solutions team including performance management, achievement of objectives, coaching, mentoring, and development.Orchestrate the planning, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of consumer-facing digital solutions.Ensure adherence to industry best practices, coding standards, and robust security protocols.Drive the evolution of a product-centric organization, establishing effective IT product management practices.Coordinate the creation of comprehensive documentation for all designed systems, ensuring transparency for stakeholders.Oversee the Digital Solutions budget and initiatives to ensure the best ROI of resources.Craft multi-year technology roadmaps for consumer-facing digital solutions, demonstrating forward-thinking vision.Shape strategies and provide leadership in IT outsourcing/insourcing activities, emphasizing effective RFPs and technology assessments.Collaborate across all levels within the organization, implementing processes and technologies that enhance business value and process efficiency.Identify opportunities for leveraging cloud technology, articulating compelling business cases for migration where appropriate.Remain attuned to existing and emerging IT trends and industry developments, ensuring relevance to current and future technologies that align with strategic objectives.Consistently evaluate digital solutions to ensure they are operationally sound and align with Kreg’s strategic objectives.Establish and oversee IT application development processes and standards, ensuring effective management and performance.Maintain continuous delivery model for application services, monitoring SLAs and system/program performance.Manage the digital solution project portfolio, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to prioritize and sequence initiatives.Collaborate with external partners and vendors as the face of Kreg, ensuring alignment with project deliverables, deadlines, and internal team collaboration.Ensure transparent communication of project scope, timelines, prioritization, budgets, resource needs, and progress.What We’re Looking For:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, or a comparable degree.7+ years of experience leading application development and support teams, with a minimum of 3 – 5 years managing enterprise products, platforms, and solutions in two or more of the following digital arenas: web hosting & content management, APIs, eCommerce, CRM, mobile applications, consumer-facing experiences, and applications.Proven experience planning, designing, developing, and managing digital projects across multiple platforms such as websites, social media, mobile apps, etc. Samples of work may be required.Proficient with Enterprise-Grade e-commerce systems such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento, and WooCommerce.Proficiency with implementing and supporting third-party CRM, Marketing, and Content Management systems is preferred.A passion for developing, coaching, and mentoring a team of IT professionals; strong in hiring, team building, and organizational development.In-depth knowledge of current digital marketing trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.Other Skills and Abilities We’re Looking For:Strong project management skills to ensure the prioritization of multiple and concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.Passion for leading a high-performance digital solutions team, including setting strategic direction and driving for results with a continuous improvement mindset.Proven ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels while respecting differences.Excellence in communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating collaboration and stakeholder engagement.Strategic acumen and a track record of aligning digital solutions with broader business objectives.Strong orientation for results and excellence, inspiring confidence through conceptual and analytical thinking, initiative, and adaptability.Critical thinking and analytical skills for problem-solving.Understanding of consumer behavior to make informed recommendations.Join us at Kreg Tool!Headquartered in a beautiful new campus in Ankeny, Iowa, Kreg is proud to be a growing employee-owned company that manufactures a wide variety of tools, accessories, and equipment for woodworkers and do-it-yourselfers.
