Apply now to join FAU on its race to excellence.Position Summary:Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Associate Director, Development Communications – Boca Raton, FL. The Associate Director will serve as the primary writer and editor for the Division of Institutional Advancement, ensuring all donor stories and solicitation and stewardship materials meet the highest possible standards for editorial quality. Responsibilities include:Serves as a primary writer and editor for the Division of Institutional Advancement.Manages the proposal development process from inception through submission.Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to write and edit content for development communications.Edits solicitation and stewardship materials.Identifies story ideas and writes communication pieces focused on philanthropy.Writes and updates copy for the Institutional Advancement website.Ensures quality control of written materials.Communicates directly with Communications staff on project status.Works with College development officers on communication tools.Provides leadership support to student interns.Keeps abreast of fundraising, communication, and digital communication best practices.Performs other job-related duties, as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience required.Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per year.Application Deadline: 2024-08-19Florida Atlantic University is an equal opportunity/affirmative action/equal access institution and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veterans status or any other characteristic protected by law.
