We are looking for the right candidate to get in early and help define the processes, requirements, and infrastructure that will support the project through launch and beyond. In this role you’ll have a significant impact on the way we work, both within the game team and production team, by leveling up the skills we apply to the production of our games as well as the structures we work within.On the game team side, you’ll partner with leads and directors to understand their needs. You’ll develop processes to improve communication, scheduling, and overall quality of life; all while developing the kind of ground-breaking video games we're famous for. You’ll build relationships with our partners at Sony, gather data from the best in the industry, and be instrumental in building the best plan we can – together.Our ideal candidate is someone with a deep understanding of the complexities of game development and a track record of building, streamlining and executing processes to help the team achieve their highest potential. You'll bring your organizational skills, understanding of communication pipelines, leadership experience, and passion for making games - and above all, your empathy to inspire the team and rally support for our shared vision!What you will do:Work with production leadership, design teams and project leadership to ensure clear information flows within your assigned pipelinesResponsible for broad high-impact initiatives and deliverablesBuild and maintain project or initiative plans, schedules, and roadmaps. Ensure the team is on track with their goalsCommunicate frequently and effectively with key collaborators on project status, risks, and opportunitiesContribute and drive the development and refinement of our shared production processes to increase studio efficiency and qualityEnsure cross-department visibility is clear and dependencies are properly tracked. Ensure the impact of scope changes is understood, and the ramifications are clearly communicatedEstablish best practices across production departmentCreating workflows shared across the full project and studioServe as a mentor and provide leadership, information, and resources to team membersImprove the processes used by the production team to ensure our own effectiveness and workload balanceWork with the tools team to advance the development of our production-related softwareWhat skills you will use:Solid understanding of video game development, software development processes, and project management practices6+ years’ experience in a production role where you've supported cross-functional teams in the creation of AAA projects including 2+ shipped titles.Self-starter with team orientation. Approach challenges creatively and methodically, seeing them through to final resolution while providing visibility and creating alignment with Lead Producer, Production Director, and key stakeholders.Experience mentoring and supporting efficiency within production departmentExpertise in common Production methodologies as well as tracking software (Jira, ShotGrid, Excel, Microsoft Project, Confluence, or equivalents)Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, on both a personal and team levelThis is a hybrid position, requiring a regular onsite presence to ensure seamless project execution, team collaboration, and participation in key meetings.Sony is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
