Collaborate and lead design discussions closely with engineering and product teams to ensure that designs are technically feasible and aligned with product goals.Lead all core product initiatives and own responsibility for setting the foundation of the future Slickdeals products for desktop and mobile web.Create detailed wireframes, advanced prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design concepts and interactions.Lead and conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and improve user satisfaction.Own design QA and work with the development team to ensure that designs are implemented to the highest standard and reflects quality UX.Lead conversion rate optimization to improve and iterate on designs based on user feedback and product goals.Lead and own the development of the Slickdeals design system and maintain design libraries to ensure consistency across products.A valued seat at the table for defining the design team, processes, and operations.Lead design thinking skills to other areas of the platform (Research, Product Education, Customer Success, etc.).Craft beautiful UI that is functional and delightful. Consistently meet high quality visual design. You can evolve UI styles for an existing design system.Establish critical strategic and operational goals; develops and implements new products, processes, standards or operational plans to achieve strategies.Accuracy, conciseness, and clear communication. In addition, you have an inclusive mindset and can juggle other's perspectives along with yours.Effectively translate brand guidelines into a design system, from colors, to typography to iconography.Own providing work estimates and set reasonable delivery dates with PMs.QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 5+ years of product design experience for cross-platform web and mobile applications.Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience.Experience designing and shipping an end-to-end product with complicated flows, multiple scenarios and edge cases.Ability to work in a fast paced environment where you will sometimes be juggling three projects simultaneously throughout the week.Proven ability to empathize with and build solutions for users.Ability to provide design variations and rationalize your design choices.Ability to organize and communicate your thoughts and motivations with different audiences.Experience conducting user research on your own.Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and long term visions.Self-motivated and able to efficiently run a project without close supervision.Love to discuss designs in groups, participate in design critiques, reviews and workshops.Your process is well-defined and consistently leads you to successful solutions. You justify all design decisions with data and move fast through the Discover, Define, Develop, and Deliver phases.Passionate about using data and user research to inform design decisions.Experience in ad monetization use cases is a plus.A keen eye for UI and visual design.YOUR DAY TO DAY:
Lead and define user experiences across web, mobile and apps.Lead research and strategy exercises around product initiatives and features.Interview users to better understand their needs and product pain points.Translate user feedback into product design optimizations and improved user experiences.Evaluate analytic platforms and heatmaps/user recordings to evaluate performance of product designs and features.Help define design processes and areas for improvement.Collaborate and strategize with product managers and fellow designers.Work extremely closely with engineering to implement beautiful design experiences and build out of our design system.Lead design thinking workshops to solve existing and new problems.Contribute ideas to strengthen product experiences, help users and surpass competitors.Continuously evaluate the competitive landscape and stay up to date with UX trends and exciting product experiences.Create and test rough prototypes early in the design process to create confidence in a solution in addition to building high fidelity prototypes to showcase designs, user flows and micro interactions.Crafting user tests through prototype flows and usability studies.Translate brand guidelines into a design system, from colors, to typography to iconography.LOCATION:
