Creates and manages multimedia, multi-platform content to promote Tyler’s reputation and programs, and strengthen brand identity. Develops deep knowledge of Tyler’s key audiences and creatively works to grow engagement. Collaborates with Tyler administrators, faculty, students and alumni as well as Temple and external partners (particularly in the areas of web development and graphic identity) to effectively convey Tyler's brand messages. Perform other duties as assigned.Cover letter requiredRequired Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing or a related field.Minimum of three years of writing experience, preferably in website, editorial and marketing content.An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Required Skills and Abilities:Demonstrated experience in writing editorial and promotional content, with the ability to produce crisp, compelling, optimized copy while maintaining brand messaging, persuasiveness and readability.Demonstrated creative and storytelling instincts, with a deep understanding of (and facility with) aligning narrative and tone with brand messaging in a wide variety of formats.Demonstrated experience as visual communicator, with proven success in the use of digital images and video, with fluency in multimedia content production.Ability to manage multiple projects in high-volume, deadline-driven environment and remain calm under dueling pressures.Ability to apply critical thinking to problem solve and complete tasks on time with strong attention to detail; self-starter with ability to work independently and collaboratively.Demonstrated experience in producing industry-leading creative campaigns.Strong editing and proofreading skills with an eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.Strong sense of design and experience working with professional designers.Knowledge of (or at least familiarity) with the visual arts, the built environment and research in a higher-education context.Demonstrated knowledge of content management systems, Adobe design software, Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel), and social media tools.Understanding of Google Analytics (or other metrics tools), keyword research and SEO best practices.Proven crisis communications and issues management experience desirable.This is a hybrid position after an introductory period. The duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.This position requires a background check.
