Multifamily-Design Manager . The right candidate will manage all aspects of multifamily design including pre-development planning, plan production and coordination, and coordination with DHIC’s Construction team.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Support due diligence investigations to create alignment in processes and resultsMonitor required entitlement, permitting activities and schedulesParticipate in decision-making regarding product, plan mix, parking, and design strategyManage design consultant work and relationshipsReview drawings for code compliance, plan coordination, and adherence to company standardsAssist Development and Construction teams with construction, code, and design related mattersParticipate in conference calls with the construction teamsParticipate with Development & Construction teams regarding RFIs and SubmittalsReview projects for design consistency including coordination between all design consultantsWork with Interior Designer consultant on finishes and FF&E selectionsOversee exterior furniture and signage design and procurementVisit construction sites on a regular basis to perform box walks, punch walks, and interior design installations (FF&E, outdoor furniture, and model units)Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyBe a conduit to share new design concepts and products throughout all projects in the regionTour multifamily competitors and other sources to remain current on design trendsPeriodically attend multifamily and design-related conferences/conventionsAbility to travel overnightSupervisory ResponsibilitiesSupervises 2 or more employeesQualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Architecture, Real Estate or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in multi-family real estate, development/acquisitionsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityEffective oral and written communication skills with the ability to conduct presentations to the Investment and Executive CommitteesExcellent interpersonal skills, ability to relate to others and respond effectively to inquiries or complaintsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applicationsProficiency with MS Office and emailPreferred QualificationsProactive, self-directed, and highly motivatedAbility to analyze and effectively resolve problemsCome join a winning team with a Fortune 500 company!
