JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking a Director of Social Media for Men's Basketball and Penn State Athletics. This position will be in charge of expanding the reach of the men's basketball program's social media presence while working as an additional social media resource for the Penn State Athletics Department as a whole. This role directly manages the men's basketball program's social media platforms (X, Instagram, Facebook) while also sharing the managerial duties for Penn State Athletics social media platforms (X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) through idea generation, execution, and education as appropriate. This role will also take the lead on sponsorship social content for Penn State Athletics working directly with our MMR partner, Playfly. This position also supports additional men's basketball initiatives related to recruiting, operational, and administrative needs.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient experience and demonstrated knowledge in social media content creation and execution, Adobe Creative Suite, photography, videography, and digital engagement strategies are required. The successful candidate will have experience in project management from ideation to completion, as well as producing content under tight deadlines.

This position will require successful completion of standard background checks.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is: $46,400.00 - $74,000.00
