Telecom Industry AutoCAD Wiring Layout Designer

Desired Skills/Experience:
Experience working in a similar role (Outside Plant Engineer, Outside Plant Specialist, or similar OSP type role) for a Telecom, ISP-Broadband, Cable-TV, Phone Systems, or similar type company.
Current and recent AutoCAD skills alongside experience using AutoCAD to layout and design fiber-cable-wiring (fiber or copper or similar underground wire layouts), including new and existing cables both underground and overhead; experience traveling locally to field sites for the purpose of properly analyzing and then drawing/AutoCAD-ing exact field site locations and related wiring-designs is preferred.
Experience with ESRI, ArcGIS, Google Earth, or other mapping software systems that can be incorporated into AutoCAD drawings is a plus.
Experience creating relevant detailed notes/annotations alongside your AutoCAD designs.
Experience working as the key communicator and point of contact between internal key stakeholders, field crews, and external stakeholders (experience working with/communicating with local municipality teams [permitting, road crews, etc.] is a plus).
A strong sense of urgency and solid written and oral communication skills.
A passion for learning about ongoing telecom and related infrastructure changes, upgrades, problems, and goals is preferred.
Familiarity with FTTX, FTTH, and FTTN and related tools, connectors, and electronic systems.
Familiarity with NESC and/or RUS guidelines.
A knack for quickly understanding complex diagrams and notes surrounding Fiber, Telecom, related construction, underground/overhead wiring, and related schematics.
Experience with Technical Documents, Spec Sheets, Work Orders, Change Forms, and related documents.
A College Degree in Mechanical Engineering or training in a similar field that required training in AutoCAD is preferred.
