Qualifications
Associates Degree in Design or a technically related field OR at least four (4) years product design experienceDemonstrated working knowledge of Geometric Design and Tolerances (GD&T)Demonstrated ability to apply proper detailing requirements to engineering prints and perform accurate tolerance stack-up calculationsFluency in SOLIDWORKS with strong component and assembly modelingWell organized, able to work and complete tasks independentlyIntegrity, trust and interpersonal savvyAble to work successfully in a multi-cultural environmentResponsibilities
Support Gast engineering team by executing all 3D modeling needs spanning from new product development to updates and changes to existing 3D models and engineering documentationDesigns and/or modifies 3D models and assemblies using SOLIDWORKS 3D modeling softwarePrepares supporting documentation including tolerance stack-ups, design calculations, detail sheets, modified prints and engineering standards per engineer's requestsUtilize Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) to support design and engineering print creationProvides training and consultation to engineering, procurement and quality teams as requiredUtilize oral and written communication skills to manage various projects at onceMaintains, coordinates and processes routine engineering change documentation and perform other miscellaneous duties as requiredTimely execution of existing component and assembly re-drawsCompleteness and correctness of prints submitted internally and to Gast vendorsCorrect use of GD&T as well as design intent and manufacturing standards
