Job SummaryThis position is responsible for supporting Sales Representatives in the prospecting, acquiring, or renewing business.

Responsibilities

Support Sales personnel to assist in prospecting, acquiring, or renewing business.

Conduct research for prospective business.

Research inquiries received from customers, Brokers, or company representatives. Relay information to Sales or Account Management personnel or respond directly to customer or company representatives.

Coordinate meetings.

Gather data, create, and/or maintain databases.

Participate in enrollments. Prepare materials for enrollment sessions.

Prepare documentation for prospective customers. Review forms received for completeness.

Develop relationships with customer representatives.

Respond to questions from prospects regarding benefit information and available benefit options.

Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, customers, etc.

Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies, and other applicable corporate and departmental policies.

Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.

Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of experience in health insurance/health care field in a service/sales/marketing position involving initiative and decision-making OR 1 year experience in health care management in a marketing service representative role OR 3 years’ experience in sales/marketing or health care management/claims/provider service experience involving processing or coordination of services for health care clients.

State Insurance License(s) or obtain State Insurance License(s) within the required time frame, per state regulations.

Organizational and decision-making skills; written and verbal communications skills including telephone skills.

Ability to interact professionally with both internal and external contacts.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.

Preferred Job Requirements

Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
