This position can be based anywhere in the US (Northern Virginia or Washington D.C. area preferred) and will report directly to our Head of Public Sector Marketing. In this role, you will interface with government users and colleagues from Palo Alto Networks Federal and SLED teams, to deeply understand our government/education customers and their challenges. You will focus on customer experience by helping to translate market opportunities and customer needs into solution offerings. This role will require you to think critically about customer requests and consider the reasons why. It will provide you with the opportunity to make an immediate impact on both our short-term deliverables and long-term strategic goals.Your ImpactPartner with our Public Sector Team to develop differentiated messaging and content to support our Public Sector Marketing campaigns focused on solidifying our leadership position in cybersecurity and promoting our prioritized public sector solution offerings.Develop content and adapt existing GTM content, ultimately tailoring differentiated messaging to increase awareness and demand in the public sector and related industries.Serve as the lead for the Public Sector solutions website, ensuring messaging aligns to key government & education initiatives and positions the company as the Cybersecurity Partner of Choice for government.Partner with internal stakeholders and third-party industry media outlets to drive awareness, thought leadership, and demand generation through strategic paid media programs.Partner with internal stakeholders and third-party agencies to develop customer testimonials, industry whitepapers, and digital marketing assets for sales-led campaigns.Partner with internal stakeholders to curate content for social media amplification.Develop key influencer campaigns which shape acquisition, build brand, and drive customer engagement for large scale capture activities in the market.Manage content workflows to run successful public sector digital marketing campaigns across target accounts, segments, industries, and personas.Create integrated POV for campaigns to support large solution areas across all stages of the lifecycle of a pursuit, leveraging digital media, core focused working groups and events, targeted content pieces, and known successful development approaches for campaign management.Track and manage campaign performance metrics and report to internal stakeholders - work with marketing teams to optimize campaigns to improve ROI.QualificationsYour ExperienceYou have previous professional experience working with government customers/users and are an expert at developing and executing industry/vertical (ideally public sector) campaigns and programs.You have experience working with agencies to develop impactful content including customer videos, use cases, white papers, ebooks, infographics, and more.You have experience managing corporate websites and developing customer-centric content that aligns product benefits with customer pain points.You are able to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences via written and verbal presentations in an easy to understand way.Prior experience driving successful cross-functional projects and initiatives.Knowledge of the US public sector market, including influencers, buyer personas, and buyer behaviors.A creative mindset and an eye for quality are crucial, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into simple, compelling messages.Requires the ability to gather key analytical insights and translate them into actionable intelligence.Solid understanding of the digital B2B buyer's journey.Expert writing, communication, and collaboration skills.Expert in Analytics Technologies and CRM - Salesforce.com.Prior experience in a cybersecurity discipline within the US public sector.Additional InformationThe TeamOur Marketing Team has an opportunity like in no other industry: high impact work and the chance to change the future of digital security, globally. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $147,400/yr to $238,600/yr. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus.
