You have come to the right place.Senior Kitchen Designers will be the primary partner with the Design Consultant to help design retail clients’ cabinets and countertops selections remodel projects and are also called upon to provide support and training for other Designers on the team. Senior Kitchen Designers assist the Design Consultant with clients in choosing their color, and style selections as well as options for cabinetry and counter tops. The Senior Kitchen Designer is responsible for helping to create a positive, welcoming, and innovative experience for the customer. The Senior Kitchen Designer must have excellent interpersonal/communication skills, be a self-starter and is detail oriented, understands basic computer skills and is proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook). Interior Design degree a plus, but not required. Prior experience with 2020 Design is required.Primary Tasks & Responsibilities

Complete the design of a customer job in 2020 based off drawings from the Design Consultant and a collaborative conference with the Design Consultant to understand the scope of the job, customer needs, preferences, and expectations regarding their lifestyle and specific products for their home.Provide primary support and training for other Designers on the team.Advise Design Consultants on interior design factors such as space planning, layout, and color coordination and ensure that the Design Consultants are aware of all options available for product upgrades.Provide complete product information detailing performance, durability, and maintenance of the client’s selections to the Design Consultants.Estimate material requirements and costs and assist the Design Consultant as needed on the pricing for the job.Accurately record product selections using established department procedures, systems, and practices.Assist in resolving the Design Consultants' problems and/or concerns.Be knowledgeable and able to communicate the in-home selling experience and the overall client experience.Strive to become knowledgeable about all products and where possible attend all Product Knowledge (“PK') training.May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel or professional personnel.Perform other duties as assigned.Work Environment

Most of the time is spent sitting or standing in the same location or there may be a need to stoop regularly or move/lift light material or equipment (typically less than 8 pounds).Designers spend most of their time working with Design Consultants in person or in teleconference to understand the scope of the job, customer needs, preferences, and expectations regarding their lifestyle and specific products for their home.On occasion, the Designer may be asked to visit homes with the Design Consultant to better estimate cabinets and/or countertops.Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and should not be objectionable.Education & Experience

2-4 Years of 2020 Design experience is required.Experience in construction including cabinet and countertops installation.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other Designers on the team as well as groups or manager, clients, customers, and the general public.Interpersonal skills to develop and maintain professional working relationships with builders, vendors, subordinates, and co-workers.Ability to formulate a pricing analysis for a job based off the 2020 design.Ability to proactively identify, analyze, address and resolve problem areas, conflicts and issues, strong decision-making skills.Organizational skills to ensure adequate tracking systems are utilized to maintain and track all required information associated with the ordering and production process.Working knowledge of internet, inventory, project management, spreadsheet and word process software and order processing systems.Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Products.If you like working with a growing close knit team and helping homeowners design the home of their dreams, come build your career with us!All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, individual with disabilities, veteran status, gender identity or national origin.
